Julian Silburn is a Didjeridu healer, performer, and teacher with a passionate interest in Aboriginal culture and music. He has been taught by a number of Yolngu elders in Arnhemland and Noongar elders in Western Australia. Having collaborated with them musically and culturally over many years, he has their blessing and approval for using the didjeridu in his healing, performance, and teaching work.
In all these activities, he aims to respectfully impart the spirit of what he was taught and to connect people with nature through various rhythms, songs, and nature calls.
Julian has now designed and created a unique quartz crystal didjeridu called the Yidaki. The crystal Yidaki is a powerful healing tool that enhances and boosts the free flow of energy through the energetic meridians of the body. It does this by stimulating an increased flow of energy and blood to where the sound and vibration are directed.
How Julian works with Sound Healing
Julian uses a variety of sound modalities and techniques in order to restore the body’s vibration to its natural harmony and balance.
Each part of our body, including the chakras, resonates at different frequencies. A variety of sounds are played into and around the body in order to cleanse, tune and restore the person to their optimal state of vibration.
As we are made of light (energy) and sound (vibration), the experiential process of sound healing reintegrates and recalibrates these aspects back into healthy alignment.
Listening to healing sounds is also an excellent way to relieve stress and improve overall well-being through mindfulness. This type of mindfulness varies according to specific needs. Sometimes it’s about the feeling that one gets while listening to soothing music; on other occasions, it might be more about the actual sounds that are created by singing bowls or even chanting for some people.
The vibrations associated with these sounds can assist in various ways such as reducing pain, improving sleep, and helping regain balance and harmony. Listening to this music also has a balancing effect on our chakras, or energy centres of the physical body, while detoxifying and purifying the cells on a cellular level.
Sound meditation can also provide you with wellness awareness through spiritual enhancement on both a physical and mental level. By increasing your positive demeanour towards life, sound meditation tells you that you can return to a calm mental state when properly utilizing this technique in everyday life situations!
