WHAT’S YOUR WORTH?

The Mindset of ‘I am not good enough’ is one of many patterns women can fall into without recognizing where it has come from or how long it has lingered in the back of their minds it can be disguised as procrastination or shyness and it can be paralysing and can show up anywhere anytime, in relationships or work or just in life general. Belief in yourself and self-doubt can play heavy on your heart if you don’t understand how to recognise the pattern and self-regulate.

So, what do we do with this lack of self-worth and self-love?

LOVE is one of our six basic human needs that every person needs, not just desires but profound needs that move us and help us to make our choices in life. To be loved and to love ourselves is what we strive for, however when the need doesn’t get met we can manipulate a situation to feel the feeling of love, a great example for women is we over give whether it is with our children, partners or in the work place, someone that continually gives so much more than needed will be given praise and often the comment can be from others “wow you are amazing but you didn’t need to do all that “ this will make the over-giver feel loved and important, they are putting others needs over their own which can eventually cause resentment and sadness.

Being a perfectionist is another example of ‘I AM NOT GOOD ENOUGH’ for a perfectionist fear of failure and self-criticism can cause them to be their harshest critic which can impact their personal growth all of which can lead to anxiety, depression, and scarcity.

I once heard that perfection is a form of judging, perfection can never be met so you really have no standard it’s a way of beating yourself up or others up, when you’re beating someone else up it’s because you’re exhausted of beating yourself up and you’re trying to escape from it.!

Don’t get me wrong, it is important to reach goals and milestones and achieve everything you yearn for however it must come from a healthy mindset and your heart.

Let’s talk about a few steps you can take to overcome this old belief that could be holding you back from your imperfect perfect self!

TAKE ACTION Self-regulation and self-awareness is the starting point be mindful of your negative self-talk – question yourself before you make the final decision…. ask yourself, “Is this going to serve my needs authentically or is this decision being made out of fear?”

WHAT TO AVOID   Imposter syndrome and self-criticism

WHAT YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE Set realistic goals, self-love, self-care, focus on your achievements and all your wins and strengths, dig deep, and draw on your inner power this will help to grow the love for yourself. Remember, with patience and kindness to yourself, and with the right support you can move from a place of self-doubt to one of self-acceptance, and with that comes fulfillment. YOU are good enough and you deserve to embrace your full potential. It can be immensely helpful to share your feelings with a trusted friend, family member or therapist often they can provide a fresh perspective and emotional support.

In conclusion, the mindset of I am not good enough can be paralysing, but it’s important to remember you can change it by practising self-compassion, shifting your focus to your strengths, and setting realistic goals, you can begin to rewrite the narrative in your mind.
