In this interview, Jacquie Walker speaks about her inspiration for sharing her story in The Colours of Me and the writing journey. In her words:
“Your trauma story does not have to define who you are. It shapes who you are and with love and compassion for yourself, you can reinvent yourself and thrive giving the past the thumbs up. You might even come to see it as a gift – because the journey changes you and connects you to your inner spirit and a deeper knowing of yourself.”
Jacquie Walker is one of these brave women authors who writes about her own journey of moving beyond the trauma of bullying, emotional and sexual abuse to thriving and living an empowered life. She is passionate about helping others move beyond trauma.
Jacquie writes:
“Life has the power of life to present you with the experiences to grow you and lead you on your inner journey to find peace and self-forgiveness. Finding self and self-love brings healing through forgiving oneself.”
