A Word From Rachel
Buckle up! It’s going to be a bumpy ride this November. There are two New Moons — one in Scorpio and another in Sagittarius. We have Mars opposite Pluto and Mercury retrograde as well. Here in the USA, we’re on the edge of our seats leading up to the election.
The New Moon at 9˚ Scorpio on November 1 helps us blast through fear. The Sabian Symbol for 9˚- 10˚ Scorpio is: A fellowship supper reunites old comrades. This symbolism presents themes of the ways community nourishes our souls. There’s also an element of recollection with this Full Moon. Perhaps we’re more keenly aware of these things because Mars opposes Pluto. Though the transit perfects on November 3, we feel its tension for several days surrounding the full moon. This opposition could correlate to power struggles or confrontations.
Mars in Cancer can feel self-protective, and we can tend to suppress our anger, and when it meets Pluto’s dynamic energy, suppressed emotions or unresolved conflicts could erupt. This aspect invites us to examine anything we’ve avoided and to let it surface for clearing and release. We’re balancing power and surrender and learning the difference between power and force.
Mercury enters Sagittarius on November 2, broadening our perspective and inspiring optimism and a sense of what’s just. Mercury is in its fall in Sagittarius, and we need to remember when we’re doing any detail-oriented work… or voting. We are aware of the big picture, but the steps may seem arduous. Hang in there with them, though.
From November 9-11, Venus is quite active. The planet of beauty conjoins the Galactic Center and squares Neptune on the ninth; then, it enters Capricorn on the eleventh. The combination could be like an outpouring of divine, other-worldly love that we ground in a visceral experience. Neptune’s influence suggests we don’t want to be lost in fantasies or hung up on idealized individuals who may never meet our expectations. We also want to be aware that our unfulfilled dreams may have to die for something new to be born.
Be willing to release those unfulfilled longings at the Scorpio Full Moon on November 15. This lunation signifies the development of shadow work. There are surprises in store with a Moon-Uranus conjunction. Could this be a shift in fate? With the fixed-sign influences of the Sun, Moon, and Uranus, we may be reluctant to welcome surprises. Uranus ignites the will to grow and progress, and we could see more seismic activity or environmental upsets to activate a collective expansion of consciousness.
Pluto enters Aquarius on November 19, settling into its new 20-year cycle. Many of the geopolitical events of the past 18 months have been indicative of Pluto’s transition from Capricorn to Aquarius. We saw shifting currents in the elections in France, the United Kingdom, and Venezuela, which all occurred when Pluto was in Aquarius. We also saw significant developments in space technology and travel, along with the rapid spread of AI technology. We could continue to witness the growth and prominence of these fields.
This outer-planet ingress ushers us fully into a new paradigm, socially, politically, and personally. As the Sun enters Sagittarius on November 21, it forms a sextile to Pluto, awakening us to the opportunities the transit could mean for our spiritual lives. We will all receive some sort of call or alert to our mission. Our ideas for showing up and contributing to the world are being upgraded as we move into this new Pluto phase.
Mercury stations retrograde on November 25 at 22Ëš 40’ Sagittarius. It is a time to reflect on the news we read, the information we gather, and the truth we feel. We want to remember to be willing to change our minds if facts don’t add up. Because this retrograde takes place on the heels of a heated political season in the USA, we could see confusion in the election’s aftermath. The Sagittarius New Moon at 9Ëš 32’ Sagittarius on November 30 invites wisdom as a guiding light. It’s a time when we’re focused inward to discover what’s true. Regardless of what shakeups happen in our external lives, we can center ourselves and trust supportive relationships.

ARIES (MARCH 21 – APRIL 19):
Some traditions believe the veil between worlds is at its thinnest at this time, and we have the ability to connect with guiding spirits and unseen forces.
