By 2013 when analog television transmission is phased out, every Australian will be watching TV on digital channels. The publicity hype is that the new digital channels will deliver better picture viewing along with other entertainment benefits for the viewer.
However there are negative health effects from the electromagnetic radiation which is being emitted from digital TV screens.
Back around ten years ago people were lured away from their  old CRT TV’s to the newer, slimmer, bigger screens of the Plasma and LCD technologies which were being introduced to the Australian consumer. There was a belief that these new TV viewing technologies would also deliver a safer medium as far as electromagnetic radiation dangers, compared to the conventional CRT screens.

The electromagnetic frequencies that are created by digital TV’s when operating have been found to negatively affect the health and wellbeing of occupants. The symptoms reported include headaches, nausea, lethargy, Epilepsy and other symptoms typical of Electro hypersensitivity.
