Prime beef and lamb from the farm door to your plate sounds delicious. Couple that with the livestock being fed no preservatives, synthetic chemicals, growth hormones, antibiotics, or intensive feedlot grain diets, and the gastric juices really start to come into force.
The Organic and Biodynamic Meats Western Australian (WA)Â Co-operative was formed almost a year ago to produce healthy, locally grown meat readily available to consumers.
With 19 members and the list growing, all farms are certified organic or biodynamic there is a stringent quality process in place, ensuring the livestock can be traced from the paddock to the plate!
The product is available at select restaurants and butchers, and the public is also able to take advantage of this healthy produce. Check out the Where to Buy section on the Co-operative’s website: www.organicmeats.com.au
For direct sales to the public, the Co-op is developing a delivery system to bring bulk meat packs to your area – you can email or phone the Co-ordinator to register your interest on 0408 858 199
