March Comes Under Saturn’s Spell

This year is going to be a big one for Saturn. On Tuesday, March 7, it enters Pisces, which coincides with the Virgo full moon. This is a significant change, as Saturn first entered Aquarius in March 2020. Its movement into Pisces is a major event, signalling a shift in our responsibilities, limitations, and how we structure our lives.

The Virgo full moon happening in the sign opposite Pisces on this day brings a spotlight to the ways we show up in service to others, while Saturn in Pisces reminds us of our duties to the collective. The problems that you may have been facing personally and collectively over the last three years are resolving as new challenges arise. How you take care of yourself and others throughout these changes is what matters the most.

A Word From Rachel

Sometimes, it takes us hitting rock bottom to surrender our fight for control. That moment we let go of the grip is when the magic happens. Something shifts for the better, but we can’t always see it at the time. I’ve had a recent experience of surrender and walked through challenging life circumstances with clients this past month as well.

Saturn and Pluto are at the last degrees of their respective signs (Saturn in Aquarius and Pluto in Capricorn). They’re both shifting gears this month, and we could see upsets, breakdowns, and breakthroughs. A seismic change is on the horizon. Anytime an outer planet changes signs, it starts a longer cycle.

We start the month with Venus meeting up with Jupiter in Aries. When these two planets come together, our eyes are bigger than our stomachs, and we have big feelings of love. But Aries is the warrior sign, which can make love a battlefield. Listen to my full take on the subject in this Astrology Hub conversation…

The planet of discipline and commitment, Saturn, enters the mystical sign of Pisces, asking us to lean into our spiritual disciplines and work for enlightenment—no more pseudo-spirituality or toxic positivity. We’re getting real with our understanding of how spirit works in our lives and are willing to dedicate ourselves to our growth journeys.

Pisces is the sign related to these themes

Healing    Hidden Truth   Magic   Illusions   Arts

Healthcare   Medicine and Drugs   Fantasy   Movies

We’ll likely see regulations, laws, and systems set into place for these aspects of our lives and culture. This month kicks it off when Saturn enters Pisces on March 7.

The Virgo Full Moon falls on March 7 as well, and it’s a day to mark off on your calendar, as it could be action-packed. The exact lunation happens with Saturn still in Aquarius. It’s turning over a new leaf, and this Full Moon could feel that way, too. The Sun and Moon form a t-square with Mars (still out of bounds), meaning we don’t know how to focus our passion, anger, or intense emotions. It’s a good day to lean on healthy outlets for stress. It’s also helpful to have a project on which to focus, like cleaning the house or redesigning your website.

On March 11, Jupiter meets up with Chiron in Aries, making this a time to glean meaning from our painful experiences from the past and commit to service. We need to feel it all. And the emotions could be as big as the transformation on the other side.

After that, Mars forms a square aspect with Neptune on March 14, and we have strong Neptune influences from March 14-16, making those days a little foggy and unclear. We’re feeling our way through as Mercury conjoins Neptune and squares Mars on March 16.

On March 20, the Sun enters Aries to start the astrological new year. We’re moving forward! But we need to watch our steps. With Mars out of bounds, we may be a little more gung-ho about our plans for the future. Give yourself permission to try something new, and let yourself change your mind. All planets are going direct, and we are ready to act. The Aries New Moon happens on March 21, adding to the overall energy of the equinox. It’s a good time for intention-setting and gearing up for a new beginning.

Pluto enters Aquarius on March 23. Are you ready for a revolution? The last time Pluto was in the sign of the water bearer was during the Enlightenment period, which ushered in a new mindset prioritizing reason and individualism. This ingress shows us what themes will emerge over the next 20 years.

Pluto in Aquarius encourages us to unite under the banner of democratic ideals, not just as individuals but as citizens doing their part to create a better place for everyone. The power of community is real, and now more than ever, we need to tap into it for the collective benefit. We can use this new understanding of power to make meaningful changes in our community and move towards a more vibrant, vibrant, equitable future.

March forward, Aries! It is the most action-packed month of the year and kicks off your season. Be fierce in asserting boundaries so that no outside forces can distract you from your goals. Unsure or confused? Take it to the source in prayer and meditation. Saturn, the planetary father figure, advances into sensitive Pisces on March 7. From now until 2025, prioritize your ritual and spiritual practices. It’s the most important thing you can do. All life details will fall into place, but you’re learning to trust, which means letting go of control.

Early in the month, assess your spiritual disciplines and rituals. Are they helping you grow? If not, it may be time to make changes and explore new practices. Remember, everything in your life can be a spiritual practice with the proper framework, even picking up groceries. Try this – each time you pick something off a shelf, imagine the many people who participated in the growing, manufacturing, and selling of that item. Thank them all in a gratitude practice. The Virgo Full Moon on March 7 inspires dreams and visions.

On March 20, the Sun enters your sign and ushers in a new astrological year. Celebrate with friends and know many of your relationships are changing because you’re growing at an accelerated rate. You have experiences to gather, and the New Moon on March 21 shows a glimpse of those changes.

Pluto moves into Aquarius on March 23, and your vision for the future could dramatically shift.
