How often have you heard someone complain about pain? Perhaps you’ve experienced it yourself – back, neck, shoulders, ankles, elbows or even those old sports injuries. From niggling aches to recurrent or persistent pain, we all seek relief.

Pain can be incredibly debilitating, disrupting our ability to carry out even the simplest of everyday tasks. Fortunately, we have access to a wide range of therapies to help relieve musculoskeletal pain, with most treatments involving a combination of pain management and effective rehabilitation. Osteopathy, chiropractic, physiotherapy, remedial massage, Bowen therapy, Dorn spinal technique, and Biodynamic impulsation are well-known to many and have provided much wanted natural relief.

Another natural alternative for pain relief is biomesotherapy, also known as biopuncture. An advanced homeopathic technique, it was originally developed in Europe, where it is particularly popular among elite athletes. It is also offered by many natural therapists, homeopaths and doctors in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada and South Africa. During biomesotherapy treatment, fine needles (like acupuncture needles) inject small amounts of sterile saline solution under the skin, activating trigger points for joints or organs. An oral homeopathic that focuses on the area of the body requiring treatment is administered at the same time. Together, they stimulate the body’s own capacity for healing, relaxing muscles, correcting imbalances and providing relief from pain and injury.

If you are seeking relief from pain, you may wish to consider options that stimulate the body’s own capacity to heal. These may provide a longer-term solution than the transient relief offered by treatments that simply suppress the symptoms of your pain. Speak with your natural health practitioner to determine how you can work together to help you achieve a pain-free future.
